Stunning hotel overlooking the coast and San Sebastian. Traditional decor throughout. Very nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds available (unsure if this would be the case in peak season, if there is one on La Gomera). No pool bar however.
We did have an issue of building work next to our room during our stay but it didn't really affect us.
Not an issue for us but the hotel is about 65m above sea level meaning that there is an 10-15 min uphill walk back to the hotel from the town.

Hotel meeting all expectations in this category. Staff with perfect professionalism and interpersonal skills. Quiet place allowing you to fully enjoy your vacation. The restaurant is also excellent

La ubicación espectacular, el personal excelente en el trato, en la disposición para ayudar (recepción y restaurante). Los jardines son muy bonitos, la arquitectura típica de una casa señorial de la zona, suelos de madera, piedra, etc. No obstante, le hace falta un poco de mantenimiento (techos con manchas de humedad, mamparas que no retienen el agua...). Las almohadas y colchones estupendos.

El parador es un edificio excelente, que proporciona relax, bienestar y comodidad, sobre todo gracias a los empleados que en el trabajan. Pero destacar su falta de mantenimiento, humedades en el pasillo y falta de mantenimiento de sus excelentes jardines. También se echa de menos productos locales y algo más de variedad, como por ejemplo, pescado y verduras en los desayunos.

Our flight to Madeira was diverted to Tenerife, where we were forced to stay overnight. Rather than take the hotel offered by our airline, we jumped on a ferry, and stayed the night at Parador de la Gomera. We're very glad we did. It was so beautiful and well run (with a great restaurant), it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip: we made lemonade out of lemons!
